Silbervogel , Futuristic Aircraft Can Bombarding the United States !
German scientist Dr . Eugen Sänger was explaining about the skip- flight method of rockets which he created during his visit to the United States in February 1955. Beside him is his beloved wife

In June 1935 and February 1936 , Dr . Eugen Sänger published articles on rocket -powered aircraft as published by Flug , magazines from Austria . This led to him asked by the German High Command to build an aerospace agency conducting secret research on Trauen to research and build an aircraft with the same concept called the " Silbervogel " ( Silver Bird ) . The aircraft was manned , and have wings that can reach Earth's orbit ! Dr. . Sänger had been working with this concept for several years , and even he has begun to develop liquid fuel for rocket engines . From 1930 to 1935 , he had perfected ( through countless static tests ) fueled rocket engine liquid can be cooled by its own fuel , which circulated around the combustion chamber . This engine produces a speed of 3048 m / s ( 10,000 ft / sec ) , compared with the V - 2 rocket at the speed of " only " 6,560 feet / sec . Dr. . Sänger , along with his staff , continued work at Trauen to develop " Silbervogel " under a secret program .
The plane, dubbed the American Bomber ( or Orbital Bomber , Bomber or Atmosphere Skipper antipodal ) is designed to have a supersonic speed , flying through the stratosphere . Average body aircraft , which helped create lift and the wings short and wedge-shaped . There was a horizontal tail surface located at the rear end of the plane , which had a small fin on each end . Fuel is stored in two large tanks , while the oxygen tank is located on the side of the plane . There is a rocket engine that weighs 100 tons mounted in the rear of the plane , and flanked by two additional rocket engine . The pilot sits in the cockpit of the pressure in the front , and three wheels located under it suitable for landing . A place filled with one central bomb bomb weighing 3629 kg ( 8000 lb ) , and no defensive armament fitted . Empty weight is about 9979 kg .
The interesting thing is how " Silbervogel " to fly . To fly , " Silbervogel " It should be driven with a mono track trail with a length of 3 km ( 1.9 mi ) with a rocket -powered sled that can push objects weighing 600 tons in 11 seconds ! After taking off at an angle of 30 degrees and reaches a height of 1.5 km , the speed of 1850 km / h ( 1,149 mph ) is achieved . At this point , the main rocket engine will be switched on for 8 minutes and burn 90 tons of fuel to drive " Silbervogel " to reach a maximum speed of 22,100 km / h ( 13,724 mph ) and an altitude of more than 145 km ( 90 miles) , although some sources say the maximum height reached was 280 km ( 174 miles) . The aircraft accelerates and drops down because of the pull of gravity , and then will hit the dense air around 40 km ( 25 miles) . It also has the added benefit of air in order to cool down after an intense heating due to friction encountered when dense air is reached . The aircraft will perform a gradual movement jump and landing aircraft with a conventional tricycle or main landing gear , after berpegian as far as 23,500 km ( 14,594 miles) !
The end of the test facility for testing full-scale rocket engine being built when Russia invaded in June 1941 . All futuristic programs were canceled . Dr. . Sänger continue to work on ramjet designs for the DFS ( German Research Center Launch ) , and helped to design the Skoda - Kauba Sk . Although the Luftwaffe did its best to stop Dr . Sänger from publishing the results of his research , some copies missing and unaccounted for , and make other countries are working hard to steal a copy of it . After the war , he was asked to work ( along with mathematician Irene Bredt ) for the French Air Ministry . He even almost kidnapped by Stalin , who so admired his work and frankly admitted that he gave a value of 10 for American Bomber created by Dr . Eugen Sänger !
