Messerschmitt Me 210
A Messerschmitt Me 210 with marking unit " 1E + JC " ( Werknummer 120 013 ) . Up to this time , marking " 1E " is for Ergänzungsstaffel Zerstörergeschwader 1 . In this fourth letter is supposed to be " E " , while on a plane lettered " C " . This indicates that he came from Stab II . Gruppe . The possibility that he was transferred from Ergänzungsgruppe to II . / ZG 1 and only the last letter is changed . Ribbon yellow body strengthens this theory as II . / ZG 1 is the only unit of Me 210 operating on the Eastern Front ( they are operating from January s / d in March 1942 and based in Briansk ) . Note also the different sizes of letters markingnya . Aircraft letter " J " green possibilities
Most likely because the " soft " burlap sacks this fortress that makes aircraft Messerschmitt Me 210 A - 1 " 2N + LT " werknummer 0205 ( Gelb L ) of 9.Staffel / Zerstörergeschwader 1 ( ZG 1 ) did not suffer more than 40 % damage . The plane made an emergency landing with unknown cause while off date of March 4, 1943 in Gerbini . If only the palisades in this photo is made of a harder material , then surely the crew would not be that lucky ! Me above 210 is equipped with a large white stripe on the body which is for Luftwaffe aircraft in the Mediterranean . Its origin so that it can enter ZG 1 alone is not known . Gerbini airfield is located approximately 10 kilometers west of Catania , Sicily ( Italy ) . Fortress is a burlap sack generality in the open air field in the absence of other protective equipment . Note that the gunny sack gets camouflage paint ! III.Gruppe / ZG 1 using Gerbini as leading their headquarters from February s / d in March 1943
